Evan Ecklund
Evan Ecklund is a sophomore at Georgetown University studying government and journalism. She is originally from Houston, Texas, and a huge Georgetown women’s basketball fan.
Student Journalism Experience
Ecklund has worked as a committed staffer and editor at The Hoya, Georgetown University’s newspaper of record. Starting as an assistant editor in the copy department, she worked her way up to lead the department as copy chief. As of Fall 2024, Ecklund plans to transition into the role of senior sports editor (and will undoubtedly write many stories about the women’s basketball team).
